There’s No Cornerback In The West That Can Guard DeAndre Hopkins, Says Ex-Vet

For the third time in six weeks, the Seahawks will be featured in primetime on NBC on Sunday Night.
The NFL announced on Thursday that the Week 7 matchup featuring the Arizona Cardinals and the Seattle Seahawks has been moved from the 4:05 p.m. time slot to 7:20 p.m., and will be televised on NBC.
It will be a matchup that is slated to feature Russell Wilson and DK Metcalf against Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins.
However, Hopkins is listed as questionable heading into Sunday Night’s game with an ankle injury. He suffered the injury in last week’s blowout win against the Dallas Cowboys.
If Hopkins is available to play against the Seahawks, he will be a major problem for the Seahawks’ defense. Hopkins currently leads the NFL with 47 catches for 601 receiving yards, according to CBS Sports.
Earlier this season, former Arizona Cardinal defensive back Robert Nelson Jr shared that he felt Hopkins would be a problem for the NFC West this season.
“That is not even a question; that is, like the Pac 12 really develops you for the spread offense. The best wide receivers are in the west. So, for him, he is going to get a lot more. He was already getting the ball for ten plus catches a game running full speed, and catching it through traffic,” said Nelson.
“You have the best threat in the NFL; what else can you ask for? No cornerback in the west can guard him [DeAndre Hopkins]. Come on, man, like 6’3 or 6’4 with hands down to your calves, his visual IQ is crazy, and he is strong. He is going to score touchdowns. It is a no brainer, and I am not saying they will go to the Super Bowl, but I think they will do better than the last couple of years.”
Nelson still works out at Arizona State University, trying to keep himself in shape. He is just biding his time for another opportunity to present itself. Nelson has turned his attention to other industries such as fashion, music, and real estate.
