Of course, you recognize Robin Thicke as a five-time GRAMMY® Award nominee, diamond-selling performer, actor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist—among many other things. He can sum up his identity in the most succinct and straightforward manner possible as “a singer, songwriter, and father forever.

Since the launch of his solo career in 2003 after writing for everyone from Christina Aguilera to P!nk, he quietly emerged as one of R&B’s most identifiable, irresistible, and inimitable talents. Notching multiple gold and platinum certifications and consecutive Top 5 bows on the Billboard Top 200, he ascended to a commercial and creative high watermark on his 2013 sixth album, Blurred Lines. Not only did Blurred Lines crash the Billboard Top 200 at #1, but it also produced the RIAA Diamond-certified title single “Blurred Lines” [feat. T.I. & Pharrell]. The song made history, clutching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 weeks. In the aftermath, he became “the first artist to simultaneously occupy #1 on the Hot 100 and Top 200 since 2012” and entered rarified air among 17 other acts o accomplish the same feat in the previous decade. Not to mention, it scored “the highest audience ever recorded” and captured #1 on five radio charts simultaneously. Between sold out shows, he collaborated with everyone from Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne to Nas and Kendrick Lamar. In 2019, he embraced newfound strength. Re-energized and inspired, Robin hit the ground running with a position as a panelist on the hit show The Masked Singer and a bevy of new music ignited by the single “That’s What Love Can Do.”

Summer Walker is quietly carving out a niche of her own. Signed to LVRN/Interscope Records, the artist has gained attention from the release of her four-track CLEAR EP and 2018’s Last Day of Summer. The latter spawned the breakout single “CPR,” which has gained over 55 million streams, while her follow up single “Girls Need Love” is certified Platinum with over 196 million streams worldwide. She recently teamed up with rap superstar Drake for the official remix. Summer has garnered early praise from the likes of Billboard & Noisey and has been featured on several of 2019’s Ones to Watch lists. Complex touts, “It’s still early days, but Summer Walker’s emergence feels like the start of something very special.” Summer’s music showcases her affinity for R&B, soul, pop and alternative music. Like the love child of Jimi Hendrix and Amy Winehouse, Summer Walker brings a new fire and flavor to R&B.
