Jermaine Dupri & Ludacris Add A Falcons Spin To ‘Welcome To Atlanta

The  NFL season is officially here and the first game of the season will feature the defending Superbowl champs the Philadelphia Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons at Lincoln Financial Field.  Two of Atlanta’s pillars in hip-hop remind us why.

In 2001, Jermaine Dupri and Ludacris collaborated on a single entitled “Welcome To Atlanta”  off Dupri’s album “Instructions.”  It was also featured on Ludacris’ project “Word of Mouf,” as a bonus track.

Atlanta’s newly built Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be the site for Super Bowl LIII and to celebrate the two Atlanta icons Jermaine Dupri and Ludacris have decided to remix their hit song.  This time they added a little NFL flavor to it as it is centered around “The Dirty Birds.”

“Welcome to Atlanta home of them ” Dirty Birds” anyone hating gets kicked to the curb any other team is absurd. Wearing black, white, silver, red is for the blood no one is scared of getting dirty because we came from the mud… And we hungrier than ever  He rise, She rise, we all rise together birds of a flock, more like birds of a feather. No hit a party until we get the Lombardi when we giving up? Never!”

The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Falcons 18-12 in their season opener.
