Rich The Kid and Lil Wayne teamed up for a group album entitled Trust Fund Babies, and like any record, artists want to get visual treatments for their songs.

The new duet is looking for some additional videos, and Rich The Kid had the idea of a make Lyrical Lemonade creator and well-known director Cole Bennett a video for them. Bennett, unfortunately, said no, which didn’t make Rich happy.

Rich recently took his Instagram Story to talk to Cole Bennett about getting the director to shoot a music video for months. Apparently, the “Plug Walk” rapper wasn’t too happy about Cole saying that he’s busy when he would have taken so much Hip Hop culture.

“We tried to get Cole Bennett to shoot a video for me and Wayne, he was cap talkin bout he selective,” Rich wrote. “Lol boy FAMOUS DEX MADE U and you winning off our hip hop culture.”

Rich The Kid also added, “Been tryna get this dude @_colebennett_ too shoot a video last 9 months dude cap af shit said really n*** be weird.”

Cole Bennett has built his CV to the point that he is one of the next generation’s most popular music video directors, and he cannot accept each assignment entrusted to him. But it looks like Rich will probably never get this Cole Bennett video after making those comments about stealing culture.

Cole Bennett started filming videos of Chicago rappers like Vic Mensa and Taylor Bennet and soon worked with other acts such as Famous Dex, Lil Pump, Ski Mask the Slump God, and more. He is the reference for young artists looking for a boost with the Lyrical Lemonade platform.

The funny thing is, the two have worked together in the past on Rich The Kidd’s Far From You video back on March 16, 2020.

Speaking of Rich The Kidd, according to pagesix.com, the rapper left his Manhattan landlord holding a 14-month bill worth nearly 41k in back rent payments.

The outlet also reported this is not the first time the rapper has been sued. He also didn’t pay his management company millions of dollars that they were owed. According to the lawsuit, “Blueprint Artist Management sued Roger last year, alleging it was owed $3.5 million in fees.”
