It has been two a little over two years since Kobe Bryant and eight others including his daughter Gigi died in a plane crash on their way to play Jason Terry’s team at the Sports Academy former known as the Mamba Academy.

On Monday at 2:11 am Eastern Standard time, Los Angeles Lakers Governor, Jeanie Buss tweet the message, “I miss KB. He would understand and explain everything that I’m not allowed to.

Honestly, he was the greatest Laker ever. He understood team over self. Meaning your rewards would come if you valued team goals over your own, then everything would fall into place. All can reply.”

Former NBA guard turned NBA analyst Jamal Crawford quoted tweet Buss’ message and said, “This is deep…..”

Meanwhile, Former Los Angeles Laker Mark Madsen responded by tweeting, “Appreciate the insights and completely agree. He put team winning above everything else and pushed everyone to be [the] best version of self—accountability. I miss him too and learned so much from him and his approach”.

Madsen and Bryant were teammates from 2000-03 and won two championships together.

Last week Diana Taurasi shared that whenever Bryant is mentioned or shown on television, it feels like he is still here.

“What can you say? It still feels like a very bad dream we haven’t woken up from yet. Any time he comes up, I see him on TV, or we talk about Kobe, it feels like he’s still here. All that tells you is when he was here, he did it all, and he did it to his maximum ability, effort, and passion, and that’s what I take from him every day,” said Taurasi.

Seattle Storm forward Breanna Stewart added, “ I think we are all missing his presence and just trying to honor his game [by] carrying it on and continuing to be our best.”
