Lakers’ Anthony Davis Has Been Working Hard With New Trainer, Per Source

A year ago, the Los Angeles Lakers season did not end the way it hoped, as they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Phoenix Suns in six games.

Anthony Davis suffered a groin strain in game four and, with that type of injury, should have sidelined him two-two months. After that, it just depended on the grade of the injury, according to Lakers’ former trainer Marco Nunez.

“Depending on the location of the strain on the muscle and the degree, a 1st degree, muscular strain timeline to return is 2-4 weeks,” said Nunez.

“Longer, up to 6-8 weeks if he is diagnosed with a 2nd or 3rd-degree strain. Similar to a hamstring strain, a groin strain can be crucial for an athlete involved in a sport like basketball.”

After the season ended, there have been many conversations about Davis’s condition, and he can stay healthy for the Lakers moving forward.

I recently spoke with a league source, and they shared that ‘Klutch Sports’ had gotten him a trainer to help keep Davis in proper condition to be available next season.

Davis gave an update on his injury on his Twitch stream when asked by a viewer how he was feeling.

“Groin feels real good. Trust me, we’re going to be ready for next year. We’re going to be right.”

The Lakers are scheduled to play the Golden State Warriors on opening night on TNT.
