James Harden, the former MVP, was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers on January 13, 2022. This was a shock move for many fans, as Harden had been a cornerstone of the Houston Rockets for over a decade.
Since joining the 76ers, Harden has quickly established himself as one of the top players on the team. He has formed a formidable partnership with All-Star center Joel Embiid, and the two have led the 76ers to a top seed in the Eastern Conference.
Harden’s impact on the court has been nothing short of phenomenal. He is averaging 25.3 points per game, 8.7 assists, and 7.3 rebounds, all while shooting at a high clip from the field. Although, James and the Sixers have what it takes to win it all, last season they were eliminated in the the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Miami Heat 4-2.
Speaking of James Harden, he was recently referenced in a rap battle event by JAG. The bar goes as followed, “N*** you James Harden. Your bum ass aint done s*** in Philly. N*** I’m talking big business,” said the Los Angeles Native.
Later, he said, “I’ll put you in a box in Philly and then break Rocky’s Jaw.”
JAG was signed to Philly hip-hop legend Cassidy and future basketball Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony at one point in his career.
As for the Sixers and Harden, they are currently third in the Eastern Conference with a 34-18 record.
