Last week, members of the NBA and WNBA auctioned off game-worn items to raise money for Daunte Wright's family.
Wright was killed by police in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, during a traffic stop on April 11th. The incident happened not too far from where ex-officer Derek Chauvin's trial was located. According to Bleacher Report's Paul Kasabian, as of 5:45 p.m. ET on April 16th, the GoFundMe page was at $844,000 had been raised.
"All funds raised through this site will go towards covering funeral and burial expenses, mental health and grief counseling for Daunte's family, to help the Wright family in their fight for justice, and to provide support for [the] family, 100 percent of the funds raised on this site will go to the Wright family."
