Trae Young’s decision to remove all Atlanta Hawks-related content from his Instagram account may have various interpretations. Young has been link to the Los Angeles Lakers after Jovan Buha of The Athletic reported, the Lakers had internal talks about a possible trade for Young this summer.

At the trade deadline, the Los Angeles Lakers acquired D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt and Rui Hachimura to pair with LeBron James and Anthony Davis and they were able to reach the Western Conference Finals, but were swept by the Denver Nuggets.

As for Young, he finished the 2022-23 the season with 26.2 pts, 3.0 rebounds, and 10.2 assists in 73 games for the Hawks. He would lead the Hawks to playoffs, but was eliminated in six games by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
