Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre Open Still G.I.N. Lounge in Nashville

Nashville’s famous Broadway strip is well-known for its country music heritage, with bars named after celebrities such as Hank Williams Jr., Morgan Wallen, Miranda Lambert, and Blake Shelton filling the streets. Despite most of these venues being designed for country music fans, a new generation of non-country artists, such as Jon Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake, and Kid Rock, have started making their mark in Nashville.
Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are responsible for the first dedicated space for hip-hop in downtown Nashville. Dre. Still G.I.N. has been announced by the iconic rap duo.
On April 4, Lounge by Dre and Snoop will be inaugurated in the basement level of Nashville Live!, a four-story entertainment complex at 128 2nd Ave. N, just off the famous Broadway strip.
A Game-Changer for Nashville’s Nightlife
Unlike the honky-tonk bars Nashville is known for, Still G.I.N. Lounge promises a more elevated nightlife experience. Live DJs, performances, and curated playlists inspired by Dre and Snoop, will be featured to create a unique ambiance. Still G.I.N. is the name given to the venue by the duo’s new spirit line. Dr. Dre and Snoop are presenting a cocktail menu focused on their latest liquor brand. The lounge will bring an upscale yet culturally rich experience to downtown Nashville, marking a significant shift in the city’s entertainment landscape. The CEO of Live! Nashville Live!’s operator, Hospitality and Entertainment, expressed excitement about the project.

Snoop’s Growing Connection to Nashville
Snoop Dogg’s presence in Nashville has been steadily increasing. During the 2024 Beautifully Broken Tour, he performed with Jelly Roll at Bridgestone Arena, where they debuted their latest Tom Petty-inspired song, ‘Last Dance With Mary Jane’ from Snoop’s Missionary album. Snoop has reportedly recorded a verse for an upcoming Zach Bryan track after working with Hardy on a reimagined version of Gin and Juice. Moreover, Ernest, a country singer, has recently revealed an unreleased song with Snoop called ‘Gettin’ Gone,’ they were observed taking part in a music video shoot on Broadway.
A New Era for Broadway
Still G.I.N. is now open Lounge, Snoop, and Dre are not only diversifying Nashville’s entertainment scene but also making history by introducing hip-hop to a city deeply rooted in country traditions. The lounge is expected to be a big success due to the success of Nashville Live!, which already has lines stretching down the block. Beyond being a new destination, the venue will contribute to revitalizing the 2nd Avenue corridor, which has been rebuilt since the Christmas Day bombing in 2020. Snoop and Dre’s latest venture will bring a unique West Coast-meets-Southern flavor to Music City, as Nashville’s music and nightlife scenes evolve.
