“Selling Sunset” Explosive Behind-the-Scenes Drama Erupts Ahead of Season 8 Release

The highly anticipated release of Selling Sunset Season 8 has been impacted by an explosive behind-the-scenes drama involving a scandalous rumor just days before the release. The fallout started when Nicole Young was allegedly accused of spreading a rumor about another cast member, Emma Hernan, having an affair with a married man.

Emma and Chrishell Stause were particularly shocked and outraged by the revelation. Chrishell stated that Emma, 33, was ‘blindsided’ by the ‘dishonest’ and ‘categorically false’ rumor. Chrishell, 43, took to social media to express her anger, name-calling Nicole and accusing Done and Done Productions, the production company for Selling Sunset, of generating drama for views.

In a series of fiery posts, Chrishell hinted at quitting the show altogether, stating that she would never work with Nicole again. 

The production team criticized Emma for not giving her the chance to respond to the damaging allegations. She wrote, ‘Are we still giving air time to LIARS who only want air time?’

However, Nicole stood her ground. In a statement posted to her Instagram story, the 38-year-old defended her actions. 

She claimed she was defending “the sanctity of all marriages.”  According to Nicole, the rumor started during the Season 7 finale filming when the wife’s best friend confronted Emma. While acknowledging that she shared the information as a rumor, Nicole insinuated that Emma had not been entirely forthcoming with her friends.

Nicole’s post asked, “Did she let you know that she was directly confronted on camera?” Chrishell and Chelsea Lazkani, both 30, were asked. She also pointed out that both Chelsea and Chrishell have experienced infidelity in past relationships, which she believed would make them more sympathetic to her cause.

Emma has not commented publicly about the controversy but has posted supportive pictures on Instagram with Chrishell and Chelsea and included a heart emoji. DailyMail.com has inquired about comments from Emma, Netflix, and Done and Done Productions.

The drama affecting the cast occurs just before the September 6 release of Selling Sunset Season 8, which will also reveal Chelsea’s separation from Jeff Lazkani. After a newcomer tells cast member Bre Tiesi about a rumor involving Jeff, Chelsea tears up in the trailer for the upcoming season. Bre was reluctant to reveal the bad news to her former friend despite her rocky relationship with Chelsea since joining Season 6.

“They say don’t shoot the messenger, but she’s definitely gonna shoot me,” Bre remarked in the trailer, setting the stage for even more dramatic when the new episodes hit Netflix.
