After a tumultuous split, Selling Sunset alum Christine Quinn, 36, has officially returned to her Texas roots after 10 months. After moving with her three-year-old son, Christian Georges, she’s welcoming a new era in her life, surrounded by loved ones and away from the spotlight of reality TV.
Building a New Life in Texas
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Quinn expressed her appreciation for returning to her hometown.
“I am really, really grateful to be living here,” she said from her new residence near Dallas. She expressed how much she values being close to family, especially her sister and her son’s cousin. “It’s something I needed as opposed to the chaos when I was in Los Angeles.”
Quinn had to find a home quickly when she returned to Texas in 2024 from her crumbling three-year marriage to ex-husband Christian Dumontet. Even though her current rental is not permanent, she has fallen in love with it and is enjoying the process of making it her own.
“I found a wonderful house,” said the luxury real estate agent, who left Selling Sunset after five seasons in 2022. “It’s about 60% done, but I’m excited to keep decorating because I love interior design.”
Creating a Stylish and Cozy Home
If you like Quinn’s bold aesthetic from Selling Sunset, you’ll recognize her flair for dramatic interiors.
“I love black walls, tapestries, and wallpaper,” she said, Explaining her distinctive style. Mid-century furniture, gold accents, lush greenery, and plenty of plants in the kitchen are just a few of the features of her home.
Her LA is reflected in the décor. Her passion for design is reflected in her home. “I pretty much did all the interior decorating myself there, and I’m carrying that over here,” she shared.
A Fresh Start for Her Son
The move has positively impacted her son Christian, as Quinn revealed. She was worried about his developmental challenges before their relocation. “He was literally nonverbal at three years old, which is pretty rare,” she explained.
Quinn has undergone a remarkable transformation since settling in Texas and enrolling in school. ““He’s now a complete chatterbox,” she said, Adding that his flourishing has been attributed to being around other children and a supportive environment. His participation has aided her son’s progress in an intensive therapy program.
“Children are a product of their environment, and I think this change has been incredibly positive for him,” Quinn remarked.
Life After a Public Split
Quinn’s decision comes after a highly publicized breakup with Dumontet, who was charged with domestic violence against their son in March 2024. In the future, he was arrested again for violating a protective order. Their three-year marriage ended when Dumontet filed for divorce in April 2024.
Quinn remains hopeful despite the ongoing divorce proceedings.
“I’m very hopeful that it will be finished soon,” she said.
Looking Ahead
Quinn sees life in Texas as a fresh start. She focuses on creating a peaceful and nurturing environment with her son thriving and her family nearby.
“It’s a blessing to be here,” she said, welcoming this new chapter with both resilience and optimism. Quinn is ready to move on with strength and style from the chaos of her past as she continues to rebuild her life.
