For the past 10 years, from December 10, 2014, through December 10, 2024, the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams have faced off 20 times (7-13 versus the Rams and currently 0-3 since last beating the Rams on January 8, 2023, Seahawks 19 Rams 16). We all can agree that as we approach this year’s playoffs, both teams have something to prove to the entire NFL.

The L.A. Rams are coming off a big victory over Josh Allen’s 6 TDs for the Buffalo Bills, but this game was more than “Any Given Sunday” This was a statement victory for the Rams showing the rest of the world that you have to stop their dual-threat wide receivers, Makea “Puka” Nacua #17 and Cooper Kupp #10, a Hall of Fame quarterback, Matthew Stafford #9, and arguably a future HOF coach, Sean McVay. While the Seahawks just beat the Arizona Cardinals 30-18 both teams have tough matchups these next four weeks, including their rematch during week 18.

As we enter week 15 of the 2024-2025 NFL season, the Seattle Seahawks defense are ranked 18th in the league as their defense has given up 32 touchdowns and on average the defense is giving up 339 total yards (212.5 passing yards,126.5 rushing yards) per game, but the Rams defense are no better as their 27th ranked defense is giving up 366 total yards (225.1 passing yards, 141 rushing yards) per match. This Thursday the NFC 8th-ranked Rams (7-6) are traveling to play the NFC 11th 49ers (6-7) in the Bay-to-L.A. rivalry while the NFC 3rd-ranked Seattle Seahawks (8-5) are hosting the NFC 6th-ranked Green Bay Packers. While Las Vegas has both the Rams (Spread +2.5, Money Line +114) and Seahawks (Spread +2.5, Money Line +124) listed as the underdog in their matches, they both have action in making another statement this week showing the NFL that the NFC-West is to be watched and talked about.

The road to the 2024-2025 NFL playoffs won’t be easy for anyone of these teams in the NFC-WEST.
Seahawks 8-6
Rams 7-6
Cardinals 6-7
49ers 6-7

Although the race to the divisional title is close in records, their playoff probability shows differently;
Seahawks have a 55% chance at playoffs and 52% chance at winning the division,
Rams have a 35% chance at the playoffs and 32% at winning the division,
49ers have a 11% chance at the playoffs and 9% at winning the division, last but not least,
Cardinals have a 9% chance at the playoffs and 7% chance at winning the division.

The Rams and Seahawks are on pace to show NFL fans that week 18 in the NFL still matters and will have most of America tuned in to watch two teams play to the last whistle as the NFC divisional title will be up for grabs.
