During the 2014 playoffs Los Angeles Clippers’ center, Ryan Hollins tried to take out Chris Paul during a walkthrough practice on a game day, according to ex-Clippers guard Matt Barnes. On one of the latest episodes of All The Smoke Episode with Stephen Jackson and Sue Bird.
“Those people that go hard in practice are scary because you are going to have to raise your level or you are going to end up getting your a** ran over,” said Barnes.
“I got one quick story, Ryan Hollins was the ultimate game speed. So, we are with the Clippers we are doing a M****F***** walkthrough in the playoffs against OKC, and he is on the scout team,” Barnes shared. And this M****F***** jumps a walkthrough pick and roll against Chris Paul and knees him in his thigh. And Chris is almost not able to play, and I almost had to F**** him up. Like are about to take our F****** point guard out in a walkthrough playoff shoot-around.”
Hollins is a former 10-year veteran in the NBA, who averaged 3.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per game. He is currently one of the hosts on The Opinionated 7-Footers podcast with NBA Champion Brendan Haywood.
