Raising Kanan’s London Brown Reacts To Ex-Co-Star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Dropping Tommy’s Cancel Christmas On Jimmy Kimmel Live

Last month, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, which Kerry Washington filled in as a guest host. The People’s Champ was on the show to promote his upcoming movie ‘Black Adam’ from D.C. Comics.
“He’s an anti-hero, and what I always like about Black Adam, for those who don’t know, is that he was blessed with Superman’s powers across the board. But the difference is Superman’s greatest weakness is magic… It’s one of his greatest strengths. And with superheroes and Superman, there’s a code of honor, of ethics, as you guys know, they won’t kill the bad guys. Black Adam… [He’d] cancel Christmas.”
The Cancel Christmas line was made famous by Tommy Egan from the Power Universe created by Courtney Kemp. Someone that Johnson worked with on HBO Ballers Series was London Brown is now part of the Power Universe as a part of the Raising Kanan Series as Marvin Thomas. Brown was recently asked
“Anybody, first of all, just anybody even willing to just to be working, let’s start just to
be working. So, when people can, anytime there’s some sort of cool shuttle, some acknowledgment, it keeps you relevant,” said Brown.
“It keeps your name relevant but your project in the air, so that’s cool. I’ll take some solid positive shout-out energy from other actors and artists; that’s always cool, man, because it lets you know at least you’re on people’s minds or your project…
Sometimes a quick, simple shout-out can change a career. It can give people to others who didn’t will now pay attention because someone validated you. I can always appreciate love like that.”
Brown was also asked is it also cool when someone with Johnson’s stature is paying attention.
Brown replied, “That’s why it’s so important how people decide to use their platform. Now, you can have a big platform like that, and something negative and that negative news can shut down someone’s career or put a whole stigma on somebody’s career, but if you’re able to use your platform in an uplifting way then everybody wins.
It makes you look like a solid person for doing it and makes you look secure for doing it. It also shows love to the person you’re shouting out, [and again] everybody wins.”
