Floyd “Money” Mayweather a couple hours ago via his Instagram posted a video of him and Manny Pacquiao at a music festival in Tokyo, Japan. In the video, Mayweather stated “I’m coming back to fight Manny Pacquiao this year. Another 9 figure payday on the way.”
According to ESPN, Floyd made around $220 million from the first fight back in May of 2015 against Pacquiao, which saw Floyd remain undefeated. Pacquiao has been looking to get back in the ring against Floyd ever since. It was reported by the AP, that Pacquiao was not a hundred percent entering the bout, due to suffering a shoulder injury in training camp.
Later in that same IG video, Pacquiao can be heard saying “I have the belt,” and Mayweather responds, “I’m going to take it from you like I did before.”
Mayweather did not provide any details of the fight in his post on Instagram but in the video, he can be heard saying the bout will happen in December of this year.
