Maya Moore Will Not Play Professional Basketball This Season

Four-time WNBA Champion Maya Moore recently released an article entitled “The Shift” in The Player Tribune. In the article, Moore talks about the success that she in the game of basketball and how it is mind-blowing. Every time she thinks about it, but that is not how she measures success in her life. According to her, that is not something she does not “get emphasize explicitly through pro ball,” said Moore.
”I measure success by asking, “Am I living out my purpose?”
Moore referenced a verse from the Bible that she adds every time she signs her autograph “Colossians 3:23”
She just wants to give the world some insight into who is the foundation in the approach she takes, her passion, and what motivates her.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord….”
Moore will not play this season and instead, she has decided to spend time with people in her family, and concentrate on her aspiration for the ministry, which is something that has been on her mind for years.
“I will certainly miss the day-to-day relationships with my teammates and basketball family this season, but my no for the 2019 pro season allows me to say yes to my family and faith family like I never have before,” said Moore.
We will have to see what the future beholds for Moore, but as of now, she has made it clear that she will be sitting out the 2019 season.
