A titan of Chicago’s early 2010s drill movement, Lil Durk has branched out and fleshed out his sound and his network since moving to Atlanta in early 2017. Lille Durk turned heads in December with Blood as, an album-length collaboration with Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley, which Pitchfork praised as “the work of two elites who admire each other’s craft, but who mostly just get a squawk out of each other’s company.” Last summer, Durk teamed up with fellow Drill movement rapper Lil Reese for Supa Vultures EP, a six-track collaborative project. Distributed by EMPIRE, the Supa Vultures EP features the smash single “Distance,” recently featured in Complex’s Bout To Blow column, which has earned over 3 million views on YouTube since August. 2017 also found the OTF spitter also made appearances on Young Thug‘s EBBTG, Trae Tha Truth‘s Tha Truth 3, Mozzy’s 1 Up Top Ahk, and Ralo x Gucci Mane’s Ralo LaFlare.
