LeBron James’ Mother Shares When He Could Be Returning

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is slated to be sidelined for three to five weeks due to a high ankle sprain, which he suffered last weekend against the Hawks.
“I really don’t have anything to add to where he’s at other than he’s out indefinitely,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel said, following shootaround in preparation for the team’s game on Thursday against Philadelphia. “We’re proceeding right now. My whole focus is the guys we have in uniform and the Philadelphia 76ers. We’re not really going to give updates as to where he’s at with the recovery.”
If this timeline is met, James could return anywhere between April 16 and April 30. That would put James out of 8-15 more games. However, the Lakers have nine regular-season games in May before the playoffs began on May 22.
However, on Sunday afternoon, James’ mother, Gloria James was on the Clubhouse app in the “Los Angeles Lakers Fan Club”. James revealed that her son should return in three to four weeks, four weeks to be on the safer side.
“He should be back in 3 to 4 weeks. Four weeks on the safer side,” says James.
If James returns within his mother’s timeline, the four-time Finals MVP could return at the earliest against the Jazz. If the Lakers play the Jazz on April 17, and James is in the line-up, they would be looking to even the series. The Jazz beat the Lakers 114-89.
The Lakers are 30-17 and currently the 4th seed in the Western Conference.
