Joy Badass Starts His Own Record Label ‘Badmind'

Brooklyn's finest Joey Badass has announced that he has launched his very own record label "Badmind".

"Proud to announce the launch of my label #Badmind". First single from my artist drops tonight on all streaming platforms. Stay tuned for more," Badass said in a tweet.

The first artist announced on the label is N.A.O Quelly, and his single "Mo Betta" has been released on all streaming platforms.

This is an awesome moment for Joey Badass because he puts blood, sweat and tears into his craft. One of the best lyricists to ever do it, and although sometimes we feel as if his music can go unnoticed, he still has a fan base that is basically family and has been riding out since the beginning, Pro Era.

Pro Era is one of the dopest groups to come out of New York that was started by Badass and friends. It consisted of rappers and record producers such as Badass, Kirk Knight, Capital STEEZ (R.I.P), and more. They gave this generation a feel of real lyricism and hip hop. A very talented group of people that is near and dear to the Hip Hop communities heart. From the very beginning Joey has had bigger plans than just to make music. He wanted to help other artists eat also.

Joey Badass sees the bigger picture, he has studied the craft and has decided to become a business man. It’s bigger than just music to him, he decided that if he’s going to do something, he’s going to go all in.
