Jason Terry Was Not Sold On Luka Doncic Prior To The 2018 NBA Draft

Earlier this summer former Dallas Maverick and NBA Champion Jason “The Jet” Terry sat down with the Mavs Fanatic Pod for the 67 Episode at Hub Streat in Plano. Terry answered a variety of different questions ranging from his time in a Maverick uniform to possibly coming back in a front office role.
“@swish41 is the greatest teammate I ever had. He elevated everybody else’s game around him. He will go down as the greatest Maverick that will ever play. He should be the only person to have a statue outside the AAC with the one-legged fade.” told the Mavs Fanatic Podcast.
He also shared his thought about the NBA Draft knowing that his former team is rebuilding. He would break down who he thought could help the Mavericks this upcoming season. Terry would give the nod to his fellow Arizona Wildcat DeAndre Ayton.
“DeAndre Ayton is the best prospect in the draft. Reminds me a lot of Joel Embiid. Multifaceted big. Also, Mo Bamba who reminds me of Clint Capela, who is my candidate for Most Improved Player.” said Terry.
He would continue by naming “Michael Porter Jr. he did not play last season, but he was a phenomenal talent. Had he come out last year he would of the been the overall number one pick. He has a lot of questions surrounding him.”
Terry said that “Luka Doncic would still be on the board, but he was not sold. Dirk will the greatest European player to ever play this game. I don’t know if there is another one coming behind him but you have to figure at some point there will be somebody. I ain’t seen enough of Luka to knew what he can do. I’m not going to knock him at all!”
He will have to see how Luka performs next season.
