Jason Lee On Smith-Rock Altercation, “Will Smith & Kanye West Are Heroes & I’m Not Canceling Nothing Black In 2022”

Everyone should have seen the slap heard around the world, from Oscar Winner Will Smith to Comedian Chris Rock. Smith won the Oscar for his performance in King Richard.
Chris Rock opened his routine by taking a shot at Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head, stating, “Jada, I love you. GI Jane 2, can’t wait to see it, all right?”
Will Smith then got up from his front-row seat, walked on stage, smacked Chris Rock, and sat back down.
“That was the greatest night in the history of television,” Rock said.
After the incident between and Rock happened, Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked jumped on Clubhouse in the Sleepless and LA room hosted by Rocky Rock. During the conversation shared his thoughts on what happened.
“Well, I find it really interesting I just did a video on my Instagram. I’m in Dubai it’s kind of late, it’s 7:45 in the morning. I had to stay up, but ultimately Will Smith did what he was supposed to do. Let me tell y’all why they have been playing with Will Smith for years. They have been disrespecting him for years. This is the one year that he is finally getting his flowers from all the award shows. He is getting his flowers and his awards, and we knew he would win tonight. The night he is going to win the biggest award of his career, where he has been snubbed you are going to play him in front of his wife?”
Remember Laverne Cox just did it at the SAG Awards when asked Jada on the carpet in front of Will about the Entanglement. So, he just had enough. On top of that, you are on a white people’s award show and you got a n*** out there making jokes about another n*** in front of his black wife are you f***ing crazy. He got slapped as he should have.”
He added, “I am going to say one more thing than I gotta go to bed, then they want to cancel Kanye West for getting on his Instagram for talking s*** about a white boy sending him pictures talking about he is in bed with his baby mom when he didn’t know where his kids at. When the n*** made jokes about putting his finger in baby mouths and the culture wants to cancel Ye. Now, Will Smith is a hero, and they are both f*** heroes. I’m not canceling black in 2022 and I’m going to bed.”
