Jamal Crawford Names ‘Derrick Rose’ As His Favorite Knick Right Now

Jamal Crawford and Derrick Rose were teammates in Minnesota during the 2017-18 season. Two seasons ago, as a member of the Phoenix Suns, Crawford shared with me that Rose is one of his favorite players ‘underneath my age.’
On Monday afternoon, Crawford was on Twitter Spaces, where he reiterated the thought process when it came to Derrick Rose after he was asked who is his favorite Knick on the roster.
“Derrick Rose bar none. He is one of my favorite players ever honestly and it is weird because he is actually under than me. All of my other favorite players are all older because they all inspired me when I was watching them, but D Rose his talent, and to know his humility and how humble he is after all he has been through,” said Crawford.
“When I played with him in Minnesota it was exactly how I thought it would be just passing from a distance. He is my favorite and I always root for him no matter what and when he went to New York we were texting back and forth. I was so happy for him because I knew what he was going to do with the opportunity and to see what he morphed into during the playoffs and truly be him and for everybody to see it back on the stage it was amazing. I’m one of his biggest fans. If he never gets hurt the point guard landscape as we see it would be a little bit different because he would be dead center in the middle of it.”
Rose averaged 14.9 points and 4.2 assists over 35 games with the Knicks after coming over from Detriot.
