Jamal Adams Celebrates Trade By Playing Dominoes and Listening to Future[Watch]

On Saturday afternoon, ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter, reported that the New York Jets agreed on a trade that would send All-Pro safety , Jamal Adams and a fourth-round pick in 2022 to Seattle. In exchange for Bradley McDougald (safety), 1st-round pick in 2021, 3rd-round pick in 2021, and 1st-round pick in 2022.
Ending a seventh month contract dispute between Adams and the Jets and a month after Adams requested a trade. Over the last seven months, the Jets brass has been adamant about not trading Adams, but the NFL is a business and teams are always looking and fielding offers.
“While we had maintained our interest in Jamal Adams having a long successful career with the Jets, we know it’s important to be prepared and willing to adjust to new offers and circumstances,” Douglas said in part in a statement released on Twitter by the Jets. “As I have always said, my job is to listen to calls and this offer was one we could not ignore.”
Adams released a statement on Twitter thanking the Jets organizations and the fans,”will hold a special place in my heart forever.”When I came into the league, you embraced me & watched me grow!” he wrote. “We went through it all together. Thank you for the Luv & support these 3 years.”
Couple hours after the trade news was announced Adams jumped on Instagram Live and started celebrating with friends by play dominoes and listening to Future’s Too Comfortable off of his new album “High Off Life.”
Last week on the ‘What’s Your Opinion’ Podcast‘, former Seahawks coach trainee and Jets’ defensive back, Nick Ferguson shared where Adams would fit best if the Jets decided to move on from the All-Pro Safety.
“I know he talked about going to the Dallas Cowboys, and Jamal is looking for an opportunity to win a Super Bowl, as every player is. And even though that’s my former team being the Jets even though they made some moves this off-season. I don’t know if they are ready to compete just yet,” said Ferguson.
“So, I look at places possibly like the Kansas City Chefs as a landing spot, which would be problematic for us in Denver knowing they are fully loaded on the offensive side of the ball. He would be partnered with another DB from LSU in Tyrann Mathieu. So, that would be a grea t fit for him. Going to Dallas would be a great fit as well, because Ezekiel Elliott is there and has been great from a running back standpoint.”
Ferguson also mentioned the Las Vegas Raiders as another potential landing, but instead he will be in the Seahawks defensive backfield with Quandre Diggs, Tre Flowers, and Shaquill Griffin. The Seahawks are still dealing with the possibly of not having Quinton Dunbar, who is dealing with his Florida robbery case.
