Ex-NBA Vet Stephon Marbury Slams Stephen A. Smith For Comments Towards Nets’ G Kyrie Irving

Last Week, Stephen A. Smith gave 24 hours’ notice that he would deliver a diatribe forages concerning Kyrie Irving, and He fulfilled his promise.
The First Take host shared that Kyrie Irving is “one of the most delusional athletes in American history,” said Smith. He is “slick” in “trying to get away with something that I’m not gonna let him get away with.”
“You can try to paint this issue, Kyrie, as anything you want to. “What it comes down to is you don’t want to show up to work. You want to do what you want to do when you want to do it, how you want to do it, while you got your hand out for someone else’s money.
He added, “And then when you get called on it, we’re the peons. We’re the ones who are puppets. So before you excoriated us. Now you’re pitying us. Because you want to highlight the puppet masters who you are worth billions to. You’re not worth billions, bro. Millions, yes. Billions, no. That’s delusional. You gave that up years ago.”
Kyrie Irving would take to Twitter to respond to Smith’s comments.
“When I see my name or my brothers/sisters names getting spun through the media, I refer to all my research about who they are,” He Tweeted. “Their job is to CONTROL PUBLIC PERCEPTION, all while profiting off, discussing, discrediting, and disrespecting people’s lives for entertainment.”
He continued, “I send shots at the puppet masters, not the puppets. All puppets do is run around society, trying to gain popularity and state opinions. What a life! My name is worth billions to these media corporations. My brothers and sisters who deal with this know exactly what I mean.”
On Sunday afternoon, Stephon Marbury chimed in on Smith’s as well by sharing, “We are witnessing one of the biggest ‘Uncle Tom’s’ on the planet in Stephen A Smith.”
Marbury was not done according to Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson of Bally Sports.
“I’m not trolling. I’m making sure he don’t get comfortable. He should be so lucky I don’t have a tv show, Marbury told Robinson.
“I’m starting to think Stephen A. Smith thinks he’s a star for speaking the English language loud and obnoxious on TV.”
“I truly believe he’s upset that he couldn’t play ball in front of 19,000 people every night, so he reverted towards targeting (bash) people who look like him who have true intentions on earth to be real and authentic towards helping people.”
The Brooklyn Nets and Kyrie Irving were eliminated by the Boston Celtics in four games and were sent packing for the off-season. This summer, Irving is a free agent and will be looking to most likely resign with the Nets, and the team will have to decide if they want to offer him an extension. We have to wait a couple of more months to see what happens moving forward for both sides.
