Ether At The Verzuz Against Jay-Z Would Probably Break The Internet, Says Fredro Starr

Last month, Jay-Z was on Twitter Spaces, and during his appearance on the app, Hov shared that no one can hang with him in a Verzuz Battle.
“Ain’t nobody that can stand on that stage with me. I ain’t gonna lie, no disrespect. Everyone’s amazing, they’ve done what they’ve done. No one can stand on that stage with me. There’s not a shot,” said Jay-Z.
“There’s not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage for… I don’t know how long it is? Two hours? Two hours…. That’s ain’t gonna never happen.”
He added, “You got to stand in front of the ‘Grammy Family Freestyle’ live? No one has ever even seen me perform that, you got to stand in front of that? That ain’t never going to happen.”
Of course, as soon as Jay-Z said that, people started coming up with possible opponents, including Nas, Drake, Kanye West, and Future.
Last September, Bally Sports’ Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson interviewed Memphis Bleek and asked if he liked to see a Nas and Jay-Z Verzuz.
Because Nas doesn’t have enough songs to compete,” he said. “And it’s no disrespect to him but, he just don’t. Jay can battle somebody with just his B-Sides concert catalog, and it’ll still be better than people’s A-Sides.”
Memphis Bleek added, “It would have to be somebody like Big. That was his only competition that I’ve ever seen that he even felt that was competition. And he knew when they went and did Brooklyn’s Finest. Like, Jay knew that I had to go in the studio with the best-best of me ever because I’m rhymin’ with one of the best from Brooklyn. I’m not gonna let this dude dog walk me on my own record.”
On Wednesday, afternoon Fredro Starr was a guest on Bovida’s Instagram Live hosted by Bally Sports’ Brandon’ Scoop B’ Robinson. Robinson asked Starr to respond to Memphis Bleek’s comments stating Nas doesn’t have 20 records for a Verzuz battle with Jay-Z during their chat.
“I don’t know about that I think Nas has 20 records to go against Jay-Z. I think that when Jay-Z said no one can touch him in a Verzuz. The first person that came to mind was Nas that would be crazy to see Ether at the Verzuz,” said Starr.
“That would be crazy. I mean, that would probably break the internet, but to say, I think Nas is still putting out great music. That’s the difference I think Nas is passionate about hip hop. That would be a dope Verzuz for sure or Jay-Z versus Busta Rhymes.”
