Ellie Dubaich Reveals Missed Below Deck Opportunities
Ellie Dubaich, the second stew on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, recently shared some shocking details about her journey within the Below Deck franchise. Dubaich shared recently that she was originally planned to be part of Below Deck Down Under Season 2, but was unable to do so due to Margot Sisson's win for the third stewardess position.
Dubaich is connected to the Below Deck world beyond her short appearance in Season 7 of Below Deck Med and full season on in the ninth season. Despite being in the running, Mads Herrera was chosen for the junior stewardess role on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4. Dubaich accepted the lost opportunity and acknowledged that life on a sailing yacht might not have been ideal for her due to the constant sea turbulence. She mentioned that she may have gotten seasick with all the back and forth, indicating that the physically demanding nature of the show's environment may not have been suitable for her.
The Below Deck alum pondered how everything turned out for the better. Dubaich pointed out that she was meant to work with Aesha Scott, the fan-favorite chief stewardess. Scott's leadership was instrumental in shaping Below Deck Med Season 9 and Below Deck Down Under Seasons 1 and 2, making her a prominent figure in the Below Deck universe.
Dubaich's experiences point out the competitive and unpredictable nature of reality television casting, where timing and chemistry with the cast can make all the difference. Dubaich is content with her role in the franchise, despite not being a part of Below Deck Down Under or Sailing Yacht, particularly due to her time working with Aesha Scott.
Dubaich's gratitude for the journey so far is evident to fans of the Below Deck series, who are left wondering what could have been if she had taken up those roles. Viewers will likely be closely watching where her yachting career takes her next as she continues to share glimpses of her life after Below Deck.
