Drake’s Burner Account Post Raises Eyebrows
On Wednesday (February). Drake shared a photo of himself posing with a woman on his alleged burner Instagram account, @plottttwisttttt, that seems randomly chosen. Jill Smoller, Serena Williams' longtime agent, was recognized by fans upon closer inspection. The Getty Images' database was further analyzed, and it was found that the picture dates back to 2015. At the time, Drake attended a tennis event in support of Williams. He is seen shaking hands with Smoller, interacting with Venus Williams, and watching the match with his close friend OVO Chubbs in photos taken that day. The outfit he wore in the image with Smoller matches the one he wore in other pictures from the event, which confirms its origin.Fans Question Drake’s Intentions
Drake's choice to mention Serena Williams' agent caused immediate reactions online instead of discussing Kendrick Lamar's name drop. Many fans perceived the move as a deflector, with some questioning why he was indirectly responding to Williams instead of Kendrick. Social media users had a great deal to say.- “A grown man said your name on a global stage but you got a rebuttal for the woman who was dancing?”
- “Kendrick has been dog-walking Drake since last year, and this is his response?”
- “Drake is so unbothered that he posted a nearly 10-year-old picture. Makes sense.”
Drake and Serena Williams: A Complicated History
For quite some time now, it has been rumored that Drake and Serena Williams had a romantic past. The rapper's frequent curtsied appearances during her matches led to speculation in 2011. The two were seen together on multiple occasions, though neither publicly confirmed their relationship.
Although their rumored romance seemed to end by 2015, Drake's lyrics over the years have still hinted at their past involvement. His 2022 song 'Middle of the Ocean' was notable for a pointed reference to Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, who were referred to as a 'groupie'.
Williams responded later with a dismissive response and showed no interest in engaging in any drama with her ex.
