Devin Booker Is Assassin & Next Kobe Bryant, Says Stephen A. Smith

Throughout the NBA playoffs, Devin Booker has been lights out and is undoubtedly the best player on the ground at this time. Alongside Chris Paul, Booker helped bring the Suns to victory, and he really feels like this Suns team is destined to reach the finals for the first time since 1993.
After the Suns beat the Clippers in game one 120-114, NBA fans believe this could even be the season that Phoenix might be able to bring a championship back to the desert. If Devin Booker can continue the pace he has been on this postseason, he could hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy and Bill Russell’s Final MVP trophy.
Following 40 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists yesterday, Booker was congratulated by Stephen A. Smith this morning, and he even received an enormous compliment from the analyst. Smith claims that Booker is the next Kobe Bryant.
“Devin Booker is the next Kobe Bryant. It is official,” Says Stephen A. Smith.
“In his first playoff appearance and the brotha is the number one option. Averaging over 28 drops 40 and triple-double in the first game of the conference finals. The way he plays, he is an assassin.”
Smith got the stamp of approval from Lakers’ legend Magic Johnson, who was a guest on First taken this morning.
As Molly Qerim Rose said in the clip, Bryant was Booker’s mentor throughout his young career. The hard work and dedication that Booker has put into his game in the off-season is starting to show.
The Suns are also looking forward to getting Chris Paul back, who is currently quarantining due to the Corovirus.
Game two between the Suns and the Clippers is Tuesday night at 9:00 pm EST on ESPN.
