Clippers’ Terrance Mann On Interactions With Mavs’ Luka Doncic On Court, “It’s All Fun & Games”

Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic and Clippers guard Terrance Mann first got into it on the court in a preseason game in Vancouver, Canada.
Doncic was called for traveling by the officials, and then Terrance Mann slapped the ball out of Luka’s hand. Doncic took expectation to it, and Mann wasn’t backing down from it. Since then, every time the three-time All-Star scored against Mann in the paint, he’s let him that’s he too small.
Mann was recently interviewed by Bally Sports’ Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson and asked if he considers Doncic and himself rivals.
“I won’t say were rivals. It’s all fun and games and all on-the-court stuff. I think we are out there making each other better,” said Mann. “Just out there battling and getting under each other’s skin, and that’s part of the game.”
Earlier this year, Both Doncic and Mann were assessed double-technical fouls both spoke on it following the game.
“The easiest thing for the refs to do is give double technicals, which I don’t agree. When a guy is chirping to me the whole game, the first thing I say back and the refs give a double technical. I don’t think I deserve that. If he’s chirping the whole game, at some point, I gotta say something. If somebody’s talking to you, I think you would say the same thing.”
Mann added, “It’s between the lines, man. He’s a competitor, and he’s a great player. We got the same agent, so it’s nothing. It’s between the lines. We go out there, and we’re competitive; we both want to win. It gets chippy at times, but that’s just the love to try to win the game.”
We know by now that neither one of them will back down from the other moving forward.
