Ashanti seems to respond after Irv Gotti was trending online for his comments regarding their “first kiss.”
Irv began discussing his relationship with Ashanti during his interview on N.O.R.E.’s Drink Champs.
He said, “I couldn’t get past you wanting to be with Nelly,” Irv said in the clip.
“Listen, at the time; it happens… any man is hurt. The chick that you f*****’ are in love with is with this n***.” He added that Ashanti’s hit record “Happy” was created right after two sexual relationships.
Later, Irv went into further details about his relationship with the R&B singer on his new story The Murder Inc on BET. He explains, “Ashanti’s coming to the studio every day, and our friendship and bond is naturally growing. She used to wear these Juicy sweats, and her as was looking fat. Her as was looking great,” he said with a laugh. “So one day, I was like, ‘I’ll take you home.’ She said, ‘Bet. Cool.’ Walk her to the front door of her crib. She turns to say goodbye, and I just kissed her and grabbed her ass. It was like, ‘What took you so long?’”
Ashanti responded via Twitter, “Lol, I love Y’all!” Thanking her fans for coming to her defense
