In episode 8 of season three of Power Book II: Ghost, viewers were shocked to see Effie Morales getting arrested by the DEA. Effie had been working closely with Cane Tejada, the head of the Tejada drug cartel, and had been instrumental in helping him expand his drug empire. However, her arrest revealed that she had been secretly working with the DEA all along, providing them with valuable information about the Tejada organization.
But the surprises didn’t end there. The DEA also revealed to both Effie and Cane that Lauren Baldwin, who they had both thought was dead, was actually alive and in their custody. This revelation sent shockwaves through the Tejada organization, as they had believed Lauren to be dead and her death had been a key factor in their decision to go to war with the rival Monet family. This turn of events added a new layer of complexity to the already tense situation between the Tejadas and Tariq St. Patrick.
In episode 9, Cane Tejada took matters into his own hands and went to Davis MaClean’s office to confront him about the DEA’s revelations. He then revealed to Tariq St. Patrick, the main character of the show, that Lauren was still alive and that the DEA had been using her as leverage against the Tejada family. This revelation added another layer of tension to Tariq’s already complicated relationship with the Tejada family, and raised questions about what other secrets might be lurking beneath the surface of the ongoing drug war. With so many twists and turns, fans of Power Book II: Ghost are eagerly anticipating the next episode to see how the story will continue to unfold.
Later on in the episode, Cane met up with Brayden Weston asked him was he a narc put a gun to his head and told him Effie got roped up by the feds after Lauren Baldwin IDed her, and Weston shared that Effie knocked her out and took her away, so what ever happened after that was on them two.
