Nate Robinson had always been known for his incredible athleticism on the basketball court. He was a three-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion and was always entertaining to watch. However, what many people didn’t know was that behind the scenes, he was fighting a different battle.

For the past four years, Nate had been privately dealing with renal kidney failure, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

It was a difficult journey, one that he never spoke about publicly. However, as he continued to receive treatment, he realized that he wanted to use his platform to help others who were struggling with the same illness.

“I want to be the voice for all those who are having trouble speaking about this illness, and come together for a greater cause — our health,” Nate wrote in a statement.

It was a brave decision to share his personal struggles with the world, but Nate knew that it was important to raise awareness about kidney disease. He wanted to help others who were suffering in silence, just like he had been.

Despite his health issues, Nate remained positive and grateful for the care and support he had received. He knew that he was fortunate to have access to the best medical care and was determined to use his experience to help others who may not be as fortunate.

Nate’s announcement was met with an outpouring of support from the basketball community and beyond. Fans and fellow players alike praised him for his bravery and wished him a speedy recovery.

Although his basketball career had come to an end, Nate knew that he still had a purpose. He was determined to use his voice to make a difference and help others. And with his announcement, he had taken the first step towards achieving that goal.

Earlier this season, before the Jazz took on the Dallas Mavericks,in November Jazz assistant coach Jason Terry shared that Robinson was in good spirits.

“I spoke to Nate the other day,” Terry shared. “He’s in good spirits. He’s getting treatment, and hopefully one day he’ll be back healthy. That’s what we’re all praying for. He has the support from all his brothers.”

In a recent conversation with Jamal Crawford, he shared an update on Robinson with LandonBuford.com.

“Nate Robinson is doing well! Obviously. he is still working on something things, but he’ss on the up and up, and hopefully things get taken care of, but he’s really soon,” said Crawford.

Speaking of Crawford, he was recently at the Seattle Kraken and Dallas Stars playoff game at Climate Pledge Arena.
