Hall Of Famers Gary Payton & Dominique Wilkins Think NBA Is Gearing Up To Expand [Watch]

Earlier this week, basketball Hall of Famer and NBA champion Gary Payton sat down with TMZ Sports to discuss the latest news on the Seattle Supersonics. The Sonics legend shared with the outlet that he believes the NBA is gearing up to expand into the Seattle and Las Vegas markets.

Per Payton, he believe this could happened around the 2025 season.

“I think it’s gonna happen,” The Glove said. “I think us and Vegas should be a good starting point for what the NBA wants to do.”

Speaking of the Sonics, Payton is not the only Hall of Famer and top 75 members to recently talk about the franchise. Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins after the Hawks took on the Dallas Mavericks recently praised the city of Seattle.

Sharing that the Emerald City is wonderful and hopes they get another team soon.


“Seattle is a wonderful city, I wish they had another team. It might comeback you never know. They’re preparing for it that’s for sure,” told Chris ‘SeeHendo’ Henderson.
