USC Trojan Legend LenDale White Lays Into Lincoln Riley And SC’s Defensive After Cotton Bowl Loss To Tulane

Most associated with USC football would be very optimistic about the program’s future in spite of a disappointing end to Lincoln Riley’s first season as head coach. LenDale White is not among them.

The former USC was running back on Twitter after the Trojans blew a 15-point lead with less than five minutes to lose 46-45 to Tulane in the Cotton Bowl. In a series of tweets, White criticized Riley and the defense, and even went so far as to say that it was “a shame to be a Trojan” right now.

White did not stop there, he would later release a tweet at Riley, “that bend don’t break Defense s–t you brought from OU ain’t gonna cut it.”

‘He added, that “our defense and whoever’s a part of it is a f***ing joke.”

White also retweeted a response he received asking that defensive coordinator Alex Grinch be fired.

Former Trojan quarterback turned Fox college football analyst Matt Leinart also weighted in with, “Same issues all year long from this defense.”

Many believe if it wasn’t for the defensive issues this year the Trojans would have been in the College Football Playoffs this year, and possibly playing for a National Championship.
