Latto is still on the wave of its tremendous success, “Big Energy,” and has a host of nominations, including the winner of the song of the year honors at this year’s BET Awards for the track.
Although, Clayton County, Ga. native is currently trending on Twitter for reasons opposite to his praise after 130 songs of Latto have been leaked and reportedly featured reference tracks from ghostwriters.
Latto, 23, has engaged in a bitter public feud with Nicki Minaj, which has spilled into the Minaj, claiming Latto employs a team of ghostwriters.
To her credit, the former Mulatto confessed to using writers, but she practically opposed Minaj and her fans, who launched a complete digital assault in the name of the star Pink Friday.
Among the pack of 130 songs, several references featuring the rapper London Jae were present throughout the releases. This, in turn, spurred fans of Minaj to highlight the previous beef and even dragged BIA, Coi Leray, and others into the fray. Right now, the smear campaign on all sides is at an all-time high, despite news coming in large part on Tuesday morning.
In the middle of the song leak, they found out that “Sex Lies,” a title that, in its official form, featured Lil Baby, initially had Tory Lanez as a vocal component. Suppose someone is concerned about Latto and his state of mind due to the leak. In this case, she is undoubtedly not disturbed after posting a provocative video on TikTok that was redistributed via her Twitter page.
On Tuesday, in the mist of the leak reference tracks, Coi Leray’s ‘Blick Blick’ featuring Nicki Minaj.
“What happened to Latto? I would not wish that on my worse enemy. It’s f***ed up; it foolish. People put a lot of hard work into the music. Not only the artists but the producers, and for people to go and leak something precious to someone, it’s just corny,” said LeRay.
