Shanquella Robinson’s Funeral Go Fund Me Has Reached $360K With Donation From Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker & Grant Cardone

CBS

On October 28, Shanquella Robinson embarked on a trip to Cabo from Charlotte, North Carolina, with a group of friends as part of a birthday celebration. She passed away within 24 hours of her arrival, and her group returned to their homes without her. According to her fellow travelers, she died after showing signs of alcoholic intoxication. However, an autopsy revealed that Charlotte’s native had a broken neck and a cracked spine when she died.

In video footage that surfaced online last week, Robinson was engaged in a physical altercation with another woman. A male voice behind the camera could be heard encouraging Robinson to fight back. However, Robinson orally refused to fight and instead covered her face while she was being beaten by the other woman.

More recent images of Shanquella Robinson surfaced online and show the 25-year-old girl, moments before her death, sounding cheerful and excited about the next group event.

In the video allegedly taken by Robinson at Villa Linda 32 in Cabovillas.com, where Robinson and his friends were staying, according to Radar Online, Robinson checked in yelling at her, “friends,” and sometimes laughing heartily.

“It don’t take that long to get naked. Where y’all at?”

She screamed, looking for her traveling companions.

The group was apparently planning a swim. Robinson came across the gang while they were discussing which swimwear to wear in one of the rooms.

For funeral and legal expenses, a GoFundMe page was created for the family of Shanquella Robinson.

While the family continues to fight for justice, Nets guard Kyrie Irving has taken action to help financially.

To date, the family has received more than $300,000 in donations, including $65,000 from the NBA star, $20,000 from Kemba Walker, and $24,000 from Grant Cardone.

After hearing about what happened to Robinson in Mexico on Clubhouse in THE MILLION MARATHON room hosted by Nelson Epega, within 10 minutes of the news, entrepreneur Grant hearing about it, he made it a point to max out the Go Fund Me for her family. Jonathan Bing is the EVP, Managing Director/ Partner at NationMac Mortgage, to help.
