The Malice at the Palace took place almost 19 years ago and involved Indiana Pacers players such as Stephen Jackson, Ron Artest, and Jermaine O’Neal. On Saturday night, actor Jerry Ferrara best known for his roles as Joseph “Joe” Proctor on Power, Turtle from Entourage, and Jeremy from Think Like Man. t
Ferrara tweeted, “For the 18th year in a row. This was not me.” In the video below Artest can be seen facing off with two fans and he ends of punching one that kind of looks like Ferrara, but course it’s not.
“It’s like my Christmas card at this point.”
Speaking of Ferrara, he and Olivia Harlan host the BetMGM Unleashed Podcast and on a recent episode Kevin Garnett was their guest. During the conversation Garnett confirms that back in 2007, he wanted his two destinations were Boston and Los Angeles. Boston would win out because Kobe Bryant didn’t answer his phone calls.
Before I decided to leave Minnesota, I wanted to understand it like my whole play. What are my options? What’s real? What’s not real? And it was down to Boston and L. A and I wanted to talk to Kobe, and I think he was in China at the time doing something for Nike or his tour or something. I had to make some decisions, so I just put a couple of calls to him. I give him to respect me because he’s on his schedule,” said Garnett.
“So then, when I couldn’t get a hold of him, I couldn’t actually contact him, and it was just taking so long to be able to have a conversation with him. I had to make a decision, so I looked at it like it was a bigger and probably longevity play with Boston.”
