Drake takes a direct shot at Kanye West on his new album, saying there was no love earned between them after their 2021 reunion concert. “But, oddly enough, you react calmly, saying that he doesn’t want any more beef.”
From Drake and 21 Savage’s “Her Loss” track “Circo Loco,” Drake revisits their L.A. concert with the line, “Linking with the opps, bitch, I did that for J. Prince/Bitch, I did it for the mob ties.”
He still spits in the face of their so-called reconciliation with the verse, “And I never been the one to go apologies/Me, I’d rather hit ’em up one more time.”
Kanye woke up on Friday, reminding everyone that he had praised Drake many times in the past and called on all rappers to stand united against record companies and bad contracts.
“Enough already I done gave this man his flowers multiple times Let’s really see who are real ops are in this music game Imagine all the rappers on the same side and everyone cleaning up each others contracts It’s kingdom time Love Drake #lovespeech.”
Drake recently signed an agreement with Universal Music Group that is rumored to be worth approximately $400 million. So the rallying cry could fall on deaf ears.
In the episode “Drink Champs,” now removed from Ye, he said that Drake was the “best rapper of all time” So, it’s obvious he walked away from their concert with much better feelings.
Drake’s set was later removed from Amazon’s playback so yes, the meeting looked bogus for many fans.
