Saturday night, he will probably take up his toughest challenge in the former UFC champion, Silva, but that doesn’t mean that Paul is not already looking for his next opponent. He expressed interest in going up against another UFC veteran when he’s done with Silva, Nate Diaz.

The highly anticipated boxing match between Jake Paul and Anderson Silva is just hours away, and it seems that many combat sports fans are patiently waiting for this main event. Paul made his way into boxing by defeating MMA veterans and having a solid personality to showcase his fighting. People seem to like it or hate it, but somehow they will fight. Those who want him appreciate his social media posts and his fiery promotion. For those who hate him, still tune, hoping he loses. However, he has not lost until this point in his short career as a boxer.

Díaz recently left the UFC after his current contract ended. He mentioned wanting to box as a next step and has called out Paul several times.

“When I was 17, 18 years old, I started to fight, I was in boxing, my boxing coach and boxers all over my gym, and I was gonna box initially, but MMA shows were more around my area, and they were happening, and so I got sucked in MMA,” Diaz said.

On Friday, Diaz showed up at the weighing broadcast for the card Paul vs. Silva, Diaz threw Paul the bird and called him out.

However, according to Alex Behunin of Cage Side Press an altercation between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz camps popped off in the back.

“Something just popped off in the back between what looks like Nate Diaz and his team with possibly Jake Paul’s team.”
