Diddy started las weekend with generosity.

After delivering a package of “Gotta Move On” remixes, Diddy returned with the official video for the version supported by Ashanti and Yung Miami. The title, known as the “Queens Remix,” finds Ashanti addressing a past flame that cannot recover. Many suspects that the singer referred to Irv Gotti, who was widely criticized for sharing intimate details about their alleged adventure more than 20 years ago.

“It’s giving obsessed, it’s giving you stressed/It’s giving you pressed, it’s giving this n**** missing the best,” Ashanti sang. “But it’s been 20 years, please cry less/We can see you and your tears.”

She also sang, “Too much of your shit, you got a little d***.”

Irv faced a negative reaction this year after making coarse remarks about Ashanti and their short romance. He claimed that his 2002 success “Happy” was designed immediately after they had sex, and suggested that she was not special enough to miss her. The comments have been criticized by fans and hip-hop personalities like Fat Joe and Ja Rule.

A couple of months ago, Ashanti jumped on Twitter to react to her fans coming to her defense.

“Lol, I love Y’all!” Thanking her fans for coming to her defense.

Earlier this year, Irv Gotti appeared on Drink Champs. During that appearance he said, “I couldn’t get past you wanting to be with Nelly,” Irv said in the clip.

If this is indeed a Ashanti’s response to the rhetoric that Gotti has been sharing with the public about her maybe, he will finally let the things go and move on.
