Power’s Michael J. Ferguson Reveals He Started Off As A Background Actor in Ep1 Of The Original Power Series

Michael J. Ferguson is the most recent guest on the Crew Has It with Michael Rainey Jr and Gianni Paolo. Ferguson who played 2-Bit in the original Power and in Power Book II: Ghost. During the episode, Ferguson revealed that he started off as a background actor in first episode of Power.

“Yeah, it was it was in a club scene I could show you in episode one. You can see my silhouette, I will have to show you those, but you could see my silhouette. When Ghost met Angela when she had the red dress on. I could show you my silhouette and you like no way. I could show you cause everybody else was dancing to the beat. Not dancing to the beat everybody else was dancing and there’s no beat because you know how they play the music then they cut it,” said Ferguson.

“That day was probably like it was probably like a 15 hour day so all the extra like the girls they had the hills on, and everything, so they are ready to to leave. It was a long day they cut the music everybody’s dancing to the music I mean everybody’s dancing to the pretend music. I was the only one not dancing and just studying I’m trying to learn like what I’m saying like I had a whole different mindset opposed to everybody else.”

For those who are not aware of the scene that Ferguson that is describing, Angela Valdes comes into Ghost’s Club Truth and Valdes comes in there as she was actually working a case, but run into James St. Patrick who she went to high school with back in the day. St. Patrick was using the club which to launder his drug money.

Power creator Courtney Kemp revealed that all the scenes involving Omari Hardwick, Joseph Sikora in episode one were their audition scenes.

Power Book II: Ghost season three will return to Starz later this year on Sunday Nights at 8:00 pm EST.
