
The New York Knicks failed to land Donovan Mitchell as he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers are sending the Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen, rookie wing Ochai Agbaji, guard Collin Sexton, three unprotected first-round picks (2025, 2027, and 2029), and two pick swaps (2026 and 2028) for Mitchell, sources said, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
As for what the Knicks offered the Jazz for Mitchell, according to Woj, “At the start of trade talks in July, New York offered Utah a Donovan Mitchell package including RJ Barrett, Obi Toppin, Mitchell Robinson and three unprotected first-round picks.”
However, the Jazz declined the offer, and Robinson extended his contract with the Knicks.
