Recently, Spears teamed up with the very famous Elton John for a collaboration, ‘Hold Me Closer.’ The song instantly was a hit just because Spears regained her footing in the music world. Not only has it been a treat to hear Britney in front of music once more, but it was also a great experience to hear the vocal work of Elton John again.
Unfortunately, Spears went off the grid after the song came out via Instagram. She had posted a farewell on social media. The writing she left seemed to point to the fact that she wanted to take more control over her mental health. She was not directly about this, but it was easy to read between the lines.
When Britney first returned to pop culture, she was greeted with love and respect. As people got used to her being back again, trolls started to leave rude comments about her appearance, her new music, and anything else they could get a hold on.
Seemingly, in solidarity with Spears taking a mental health break, Elizabeth Hurley has posted a video of herself in a bikini while having the new Elton John and Britney Spears clad track in the background with the video that Hurley has taken of herself. Of course, the likes and comments began to soar on the post that was put up on the page Elizabeth Hurley.
