Los Angeles Lakers free agent Dwight Howard has always been a character. The future Hall of Famer, has been featured in television series such as ‘The Odd Couple,’ Liv And Maddie, and Black-Ish. He has also been featured in Just Wright starring Queen Latifah and Common.
So, when it comes to acting, he has a background in Hollywood. On Thursday afternoon, the former three-time Defensive Player of the Year popped up in Nashville, Tennessee. He took part in WWE’s Summer Slam tryout.
According to Arash Markazi, Howard wants to join WWE one day.
“Dwight Howard was a surprise participant at the WWE Tryout in Nashville today. He told me he legit wants to join the WWE one day.”
“Dwight Howard spent about five hours at the WWE Tryout in Nashville today. He told me he’s going to be ringside at Summer Slam on Saturday. He said he’s serious about joining the WWE. He was asking coaches and attendees how to properly take a bump in the ring and do other moves.”
This is not Howard’s first feature in the WWE space. In 2017, he was interviewed after WWE’s Smackdown.
“The show was great! I had an amazing time and the fans were into it as usual. I was into it and I was happy to see Charlotte Flair win the belt tonight. That was amazing to see. I’m happy for her and I hope I get see Ric again.”
He went on talked about seeing The New Day face off with The Shield right before Survivor Series that year between Raw vs Smackdown.
