2022-23 Season Mavericks Win It All & Luka Doncic Will Win MVP, Says K104’s Holly Hood Bay-Bay

USA Today

The Dallas Mavericks finished last season in Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors in five games. Stephen Curry received the Magic Johnson MVP Award, which is given to the best player in the Western Conference Finals.

The Mavericks exceeded many people’s expectations this past season, especially in the postseason. It’s been eleven years since the Mavericks made it out of the first round against the Utah Jazz, which they did this season under first-year head coach Jason Kidd. They then followed that up by upsetting the Phoenix Suns in seven games.

Someone with high expectations for the Mavericks this season is K104 FM’s Holly Hood Bay-Bay, who says the 2022-23 season is Dallas’s year to win it all.

“Listen here, Mark Cuban, we gotta get some takes, baby; we gotta get the championship this year. This year is the year. You know what I’m saying? We made a good trade and got some good signings; I like [JaVale] McGee,” said Bay-Bay

“I’m going to be at more games this year. The Mavs will have a good season this year—I predict we should go deep into the playoffs, if not the championship.”

He added that Luka Doncic would finally win the MVP next season.

Speaking of Luka, according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Doncic has not really shown an interest in recruiting players to Dallas.

“They seek his input, but he’s not heavily involved in personnel decisions. He has not shown interest in being heavily involved. He spends much of his offseason in Europe. He’s not a guy who has shown the desire to be a recruiter, said MacMahon on the Hoop Collective podcast.
