Drake, Aka The Certified Loverboy, an honorary Backstreet Boy?

The Backstreet Boys performed in Toronto, Canada, on Saturday night as a part of their DNA World Tour  and brought the 6 God out to perform their legendary hit song, “I Want It That Way.”

After the Backstreet Boys brought Drake, whom they called the “sixth member of the group,”—on stage, the star told the audience why the group’s song is so special to him.

“At 13 years old, I had a bar mitzvah, and at my bar mitzvah, for the first time in my life, this girl I was in love with came up to me while one of the greatest songs in the world was playing, and she asked me if I would dance with her,” he said. “It was the first time I ever felt acknowledged, and it was the first time I ever felt like, you know, I had a shot at being cool.”

He added, “If she can see me now, you know what I’m talking about?” Right before the beat dropped for the 90s hit.

In the middle of the performance, Backstreet Boys’ member Brian Littrell paid homage to Drake by dropping a couple of lyrics to Drake’s hit record, “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” of the project “Nothing Was the Same.”

Could there be a potential collaboration on the way shortly between the Backstreet Boys and Drake? We will have to stay tuned!
