According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Tim MacMahon, ex-Rockets guard John Wall has signed a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers worth $13.2 million.
Earlier this week, Wall agreed to a 6.5 $million buyout with the Rockets. Wall was due $47.4 million before agreeing to the buyout. The Rockets and Wall, 31, have made a mutual decision that the veteran guard not play last season with Houston at the beginning of a rebuilding.
Wall averaged 20.6 points and 6.9 assists in 40 games for the Rockets in 2020-21; he showed that he could still perform at a high level after missing the previous season and a half because of heel surgery and a torn Achilles tendon. He spent part of last season with the Rockets, participating in practices, sat on the bench during games, and practiced alone in Miami the rest of the time.
Last season, Rockets broadcaster, Ryan Hollins shared with me that Wall had been “A real pro.” despite not getting any playing time. Former Rockets’ guard and TNT NBA Analyst, Kenny Smith stated that, “John Wall should be playing somewhere, but that’s another story.”

Wall was recently interviewed by TMZ and shared, “I’m just ready to play basketball … that’s it,” Wall said.
John Wall has career averages of 19.1 points and 9.1 assists.
