Jaren Jackson Jr. has not yet replied publicly, but the Grizzlies seem to take their strange prominence in the Warriors’ six-game NBA Finals championship as a compliment.
After the Golden State Warriors beat the Boston Celtics in game six, Klay Thompson called out Jaren Jackson Jr, following him tweeting out the Warriors’ “strength in numbers” catchphrase after the Grizzlies beat the Warriors earlier this year.
That was something Thompson did not forget and took the time during his press conference to remind the world.
“Strength in numbers is alive and well. There was this one player on the Grizzlies who tweeted ‘Strength in numbers’ after they beat us in the regular season, and it pissed me off so much. I can’t wait to retweet that thing. Freakin’ bum. I had to watch that. I’m like, ‘This freakin’ clown,” said Thompson.
Last week, Morant caught wind of Thompson’s comments and responded.
“Got a lot of real estate,” Morant tweeted, along with a laughing emoji.
Well, Klay’s teammate Draymond Green caught wind of Morant’s tweet and responded quote tweeted Bleacher Report’s tweet and adding the messaged, “We traded that real estate in Ja Morant the property value was higher in Boston.”
The Golden State Warriors beat the Grizzlies in six games in the Western Conference Semifinals in route to their fourth NBA Finals in eight years.
