Queen Latifah and Adam Sandler are currently promoting their new film ‘Hustle’ featured on Netflix.
The film follows Philadelphia 76ers scout Stanley Sugerman (played by Sandler), whose love for basketball is unprecedented and has ambitions of becoming a coach but continues to hit roadblocks. His search worldwide leads him to Spain, when he discovers Bo Cruz (Juancho Hernangómez de Utah Jazz), an incredible streetball player with a troubled past.
Stanley and Bo connect on and off the court, with their passion for play, and as loving parents that want to prove they can win in basketball, and in life. With the support of Stanley’s wife, Teresa (played by Latifah), the audience will watch to see if Sugerman and Bo can finally come out on top and live their dreams.
Latifah and Sandler recently chatted with BET. The Equalizer star was asked if anything had changed during their conversation, referencing Denzel Washington joining the hit television show.
“You know, I think you would have to take over that one [laughs]. That would have to be up to the fans to control. I’m following Denzel’s lead, so you got to talk to him, but he’s more than welcome to come and do whatever he wants on TV’s Equalizer,” said Latifah.
In the past she shared that she would love to get Washington to make a guess appearance on the show.
“That’s up to D, Latifah told Variety.
“Obviously, I love him to pieces. I have the greatest amount of respect for him. What he’s done with the films has been incredible, and I’d be more than happy to connect with him on any level. It’s just kind of like that with us.”
The two stars teamed up and appeared in the 1999 movie The Bone Collector.
